Great Gnomey Dark

A few days ago, Gnomey posted about going to the great Gnomey Dark. But she didn't say why or where, or anything like that. The great Gnome dark is a place located north east of the field. Gnomes must occasionally travel there, and this is usually Gnomey's explanation for it. " We must have to travel, Through the great Gnomey dark! or else no gnomes, shall have hair! and that will be the end of gnomey world with hair!" Something like that. Apparently, occasionally the gnomes have to travel to the Great gnome dark, or else Gnomes lose their hair. (Keep in mind that garden gnomes are different than Forest gnomes.) Anyways, the voyage is long and hard, Gnomey says it usually is about a week and two days to get there, and a week and two days back. All the forest gnomes gather at the edge of the forest and field, and then start their journey. Gnomey reports that they ride caterpillars. It is called the Great gnome dark, because there is a very small, but very Dense patch of woods there, and inside, it is very dark. It is also pretty humid inside, So mushrooms grow prolifically here. Not just any mushrooms, These are called " Gnome Mushrooms". When a gnome gets to the Great gnome dark, they must eat a mushroom and some bark. Then All gnomes have hair for at least six months afterwards.

About Us, and the land of Forest's edge

Here is a little bit about Us.

Gnomey- Gnomey is a forest Gnome. Forest Gnomes are very different from garden Gnomes. Forest Gnomes are more like elves. The do not wear red pointed caps like garden Gnomes, they usually wear floppy hats which they call " Mushy Hats". "Mushy Hats" look like a winter hat, but they are more floppy around the top so they look a bit like a mushroom, hence the name "Mushy hats". Forest Gnomes are ussually found, well. in forests! they like to eat mushrooms, fruit, berries, nuts, and other forest foods. Forest Gnomes also have large feet. Gnomey lives in a small hut near a stream in the land of Forest's edge

Thistle- Thistle is a fairy. Unlike most Fairies, she has no wings. But she can turn into different animals. ( If you have ever watched "The secret of the Kells" there is a fairy named Aisling in that movie. Thistle is alot like Aisling.)

Like Forest gnomes, she usually eats forest foods. She lives in a Thistle field in the land of Forest's edge. Her full name is thistle Breezland

Tree Hopper- Tree Hopper is a Forest elf. Forest elves are smaller elves, about the size of forest gnomes. They are often found in trees, bushes, and just walking around the forest. Forest elves are often very enthusiastic about things too. Like forest gnomes and forest fairies, they eat forest foods. Tree hopper lives in a maple tree in the land of forest's edge.

Petal- Petal is a little flower fairy. (she does have wings) Flower fairies are often found around, well, flowers. they also eat forest foods. They also occasionally drink sips of nectar from flowers. Petal lives in a wildflower field in the land of Forest's edge.

Forest lady- The forest lady is the lady who rules over most of the land of forest's edge. She lives in a hut on the banks of the river. The people of the forest edge often must Consult with the forest lady before any expeditions or undertakings. She is sort of like the Queen of Forest edge.

Róisín- Róisín ( pronounced Roh-sheen) is an elf, similar to tree hopper. However, she is more shy than tree hopper's kind. She is often found in almost the same places though. Wandering around, and in bushes, and trees. She live in and around an old oak tree.

Now abit about Forest's edge. It's not just the edge of a forest. The land of forest's edge is a lovely place. It stretches from the mountains all the way to the end of the woods.
